For new PMA articles the FAA form 8130-3 helps maintain a consistent system of identification, accountability, and traceability in the global aviation network.
It is important to understand that the existence of the form 8130-3 does not automatically constitute authority to install the part/component/assembly in an aircraft. For new PMA articles the supplement is the best way to verify installation eligibility, and it will be provided in an e-mail for each PMA part.
If the article is to be used for export you must provide the country information so we can verify the current requirements of the bilateral agreement.
Once an article is shipped from our facility we do not have the authority to issue an FAA Form 8130-3.
